This is the story of us, our home, our sarcasm and our daily misgivings.
The Tudor is our current restoration project: a 1929 architectural masterpiece that will be our ‘forever’ family home and one that will provide projects for decades to come. Although it looks like our home is in the middle of the English Cotswolds’, we’re based outside of Philly in the US. We fell in love with the quintessentially British façade and the incredible community that surrounds it.
Every week, you’ll find us taking on projects big and small in the attempt to bring this old lady, who we colloquially call Ginny, back to her glory days. In-depth stories, a couple who doesn’t take themselves very seriously and good old-fashioned honesty are all completely guaranteed. Typically at the beginning of each year, I try to pick a word that I’ll cling to with false hope for precisely two months before abandoning with no reckoning as usual. But for 2025, I didn’t even do that much. No word was selected, and the year that followed has been nothing short of a disaster - personally, mentally, parent-wise, work-wise, house-wise. Not a single thing went to plan - and while that’s fairly typical for this madwoman - this year proved to be a special breed of shit-show unto its own and I have ended it in much the same way I started it - lost, confused and wondering who the hell I am in all senses.....
